Dr. McNally leads the operations at Applied Technology Associates, an advanced technology company selling products worldwide. Since his 20-year Air Force career, Jim, a recognized expert in optics technologies, has launched start-ups, including TruTouch Technologies as founding CEO and Chairman. He serves on the Board of Directors for TruTouch, is Chairman for nmOptics, and serves on the UNM Conflict of Interest Committee, the SPIE Policy Committee, and the CNM Photonics Advisory Board. He is the recipient of the Chamber of Commerce 2006 Innovate Albuquerque Entrepreneur Award, and was recognized in the Who’s Who in Technology in New Mexico in 2009.
President Ed Spivak (2 Year Term, 2009-11) Managing Principal, Spivak Associates, LLC
Mr. Spivak is a technology and marketing consultant. His involvement ranges from Fortune 100 companies to start-ups, here in New Mexico and in Silicon Valley. Ed has been on the nmOptics Board since 1999, volunteering to organize programs and handle a variety of projects. As Treasurer, Ed was focused on securing grants and sponsorships for the Association, as well as continuing to work on programs and various projects. Ed was instrumental in securing WIRED Grant funds for nmOptics' education programs.
Vice President(1 year term, 2010-2012) Lynore Abbott, M.S., MBA, Director of Marketing, CVI Laser, LLC
Ms. Abbott leads CVI's worldwide marketing effort. She has held various sales and marketing positions at several telecom start-ups and was an engineer for Polaroid's Holographic Products. She holds a Master's Degree in Business and in Polymer Science and Engineering.
Michael is a graduate of CNM's Laser Electro-Optics Technology program and holds a Bachelors Degrees in Finance and a Master's in Economics. He has 15 years industry experience with Texas Instruments and Raytheon. He returned to New Mexico and joined CNM as a computer instructor.
Treasurer (2 year term, 2009-2011) Brian Menicucci-President and Founder Menicucci Insurance Agency
Brian is a Certified Public Accountant, Registered Professional Liability Underwriter, Construction Risk Insurance Specialist, and a Certified Insurance Counselor. Brian is currently working on Membership Development for nmOptics. He graduated with honors from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico in 2000.
